TAI CHI

Tai chi is one of the most beneficial exercises you can do for your mind and body.  It involves a series of movements performed in a slow focused manner accompanied by deep breathing. 
Mental clarity, decreased anxiety and depression as well as improved flexibility and muscle conditioning are a few of the benefits that can be achieved through its practice.


Sun Style Tai Chi
Students of all ages and abilities can study Sun Style Tai Chi. It is fluid and smooth with an underlying current of internal energy in the spiral movements. Added to the spiraling, is the frequent and intentional use of Qigong, so students report they feel the energy (or Qi) faster in Sun style. The tempo is slow so you can learn about your body and posture and how you can improve and strengthen muscles supporting joints.

COIVD-19 Protocols
Tai Chi Class Participants will be required to wear a mask for the entire class.
All students will be 6 feet apart and will need to stay in a 6 foot boxed outline on the gym floor. Classes will be held in the gym with a reduced number of participants per room capacity.

  • The introduction will explain and show the benefits of the movements; the breathing, balance and associated energy with this soft martial art.
  • Tai Chi is considered meditation in motion.
  • It is a mind-body experience for overall health and balance.
  • Movements are slow and can accommodate all ages.
  • Practiced correctly, Tai Chi will help students use their internal energy for better health.
  • Emphasis is on breathing balance, internal energy and a feeling of well-being.
  • No previous Tai-Chi experience needed.
